The color turquoise has always been an inspiration in my life — long before I even knew. I’m certain that turquoise isn’t just a coincidence — it found me.  One of the few, special things my mom kept from my grandfather was a ‘turquoise’ (color and name of) pencil box. She unintentionally came across this pencil box after I started my art business. It couldn’t have felt like more of a sign because this was the name I chose for my business since this color has always inspired me! Today, my mom has passed the ‘turquoise’ pencil box down to me, and it serves as my hope and faith that I am on the right path. I can only wait to see what is ahead on this journey!  

 

Turquoise is the spark that leads me to valuing the myriad of colors in our world and my motivation to reach my highest creative potential. When I see this color, I feel inspired to create, believe, love, dream and share it with others. My artwork captures a turquoise-inspired feeling, place, or moment in time. It is modern, yet classic with vintage appeal. Representing a wide array of feelings and moments in time from American retro to contemporary day. Turquoise is fun, sleek, refreshing and enlightening, and it has become woven into the fabric of who I am and where my creativity stems from. 

 

My life and art often blend together and is shaped by my daily living, love of country and travel experiences around the world. I immerse myself in the moment, observing culture everywhere I go, capturing people in their natural environments and admiring landscapes, architecture and details of all sorts.  I use light & color in photography to paint what I see.  It is an honor to photograph people who are dedicated to serving our country and making America the land of freedom and opportunity. 

 

My paintings are watercolor or acrylic and my drawings are ink or pencil on canvas, hard board, and fine art paper. I can provide prints of my photography & paintings and create personalized artwork.
